Innovation in Learning provides consulting and training in healthcare applications of simulation-based learning and virtual worlds.

Development

We build three-dimensional virtual clinics, emergency departments, and city scenes for online, multi-person use. Learners move and explore, interact with team members or other personnel, and manage medically relevant encounters with virtual patients.

Workshops

We present workshops at conferences and develop custom workshops for clients and have a multi-year history in developing workshops for simulation and game-based learning. Our next conference is:

Virtual Worlds and Social Games for Health, at Games for Health, in Boston, on May 25th, 2010.

A previous workshop, held last summer at Media-X in Stanford University, drew an large and enthusiastic audience.

Training

We provide half-day and full day training courses in use of virtual medical environments, in medical scenario development, in programming virtual patients, and in evaluating learner performance.
